Michael Gallup 2021 Outlook: High-Volume Passing Attack Provides Safe Floor
4 years agoMichael Gallup is probably the third option in the Cowboys' passing attack, but that won't stop him from seeing 100+ targets and being a possible high-end WR3 in 2021. He averaged 68.8 yards on six targets per game in four full games played with Dak Prescott a season ago. More importantly, he rarely came off the field, playing on an average of 88% of snaps in those games. Additionally, Dallas played at an extremely fast pace in the first four games, averaging a league-leading 77.2 plays per game. As long as they continue to play uptempo and throw the ball almost 40 times per game, there should be plenty of opportunities for Gallup this season. He may not have the ceiling of Amari Cooper or CeeDee Lamb, but he's a very solid option as a WR3 this season.
