Mecole Hardman Limited With Oblique Ailment
3 years agoKansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman (oblique) was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday. Hardman managed to avoid injuries in training camp and the preseason and even played in a full 16 games in his first two NFL seasons, so it would be a shame if he weren't available for the season-opener this Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. If Hardman can practice in full on either Thursday or Friday, he should be good to go. The 23-year-old speedster can make big plays with the best of them, but the problem is he's on a team full of weapons that can do the same. He's expected to replace Sammy Watkins in 2021, but drops and silly mistakes have plagued his ability to stay consistent early in his career. The upside is clear, but will Hardman play enough to be a trusted weekly starting option in fantasy? Until he establishes himself as a more consistent target, Hardman will be a boom/bust WR4/flex.
