Washington Capitals forward Max Pacioretty practiced in a full-contact jersey for the first time Tuesday as he works his way back from a second torn right Achilles' tendon. The veteran tore his Achilles midway through the 2021-22 season while with the Vegas Golden Knights. He suffered a second right Achilles tear after just five games with the Carolina Hurricanes in 2022-23. While he mulled retirement, Pacioretty ended up signing a one-year, $2 million deal with the Caps in the offseason. The oft-injured winger is productive when healthy, tallying 46 goals and 91 points across 92 games over his last three seasons. The veteran has also averaged a hefty 3.38 shots per game in his 15-year NHL career, an important number for prospective fantasy managers.--Brenton Kemp
