Max Muncy Goes Yard, Swipes Bag in Loss
Max Muncy went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in his team's 7-4 loss to the Los Angeles Angels. The 22-year-old added a single and notched his first steal of the season. Muncy launched his fourth homer in the top of the ninth inning, but that'd be the final hit his team could muster. He's gone yard in back-to-back games and thrice since being recalled last Wednesday. The A's No. 6 prospect wasn't so successful in the majors before being sent down to Triple-A. However, upon his demotion, he slashed an excellent .325/.397/.504 with 22 RBI, 24 runs scored, 11 doubles, a triple, and three homers (31 games). He's 6-for-21 (.286) in five June appearances.
