Matt McLain Hitting Second In MLB Debut
2 years agoCincinnati Reds infield prospect Matt McLain is starting at shortstop and is hitting second in his major-league debut on Monday against the Colorado Rockies and right-hander Connor Seabold. It's a solid lineup placement for the 23-year-old, who is the Reds' No. 5 prospect, per MLB Pipeline. He'll also have a nice matchup against Seabold in one of the best hitting parks in the big leagues. McLain was hitting .346 with 12 home runs and 10 stolen bases in 168 plate appearances at Triple-A Louisville before being called up, and his power/speed combination should be intriguing for fantasy managers looking for some middle-infield help.
