According to Emily Kaplan of ESPN, the Carolina Hurricanes have traded right wing Martin Necas to the Colorado Avalanche in a three-team deal. The Hurricanes acquired right wing Mikko Rantanen and Taylor Hall from the Chicago Blackhawks, while the Avalanche also received center Jack Drury. The Blackhawks received a third-round pick and are retaining half of Rantanen's salary. Necas has spent his entire NHL career with the Carolina Hurricanes since making his debut during the 2017 season. In 2022, Necas tallied a career-high 71 points (28 goals, 43 assists). Through 49 contests this season, the 26-year-old has scored 16 goals and added 39 helpers with 22 of his points coming on the power-play. Fantasy managers should expect Necas to play alongside Nathan MacKinnon on the top unit and Drury to slide into the bottom-6.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
