Carolina Hurricanes forward Martin Necas posted one goal and one assist in Saturday's high-scoring 5-4 shootout loss to Detroit. Dougie Hamilton also finished with a goal and an assist. Necas had a quiet spell at the start of the month, but he's picked it up again with multiple points in back-to-back outings. He's had a lot of success in the Hurricanes top-six this season, scoring 11 goals and notching 32 points in 37 games with 84 shots. The 21-year-old has also chipped in with 29 hits and 26 blocks. He skates with the red-hot Vincent Trocheck, who has recorded at least one point in 13 consecutive appearances. The duo should have another good outing in Monday's rematch against the Red Wings.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
