Rookie forward Martin Necas scored a goal and added an assist in the Carolina Hurricanes’ 5-2 win over the New Jersey Devils on Friday night. He now has 15 goals and 31 points in 53 games this season. Nino Niederreiter also had a goal and a helper, which were his first points in five games. Andrei Svechnikov found the back of the net and now has eight points in his last six games. Overall, he has 23 goals and 53 points in his sophomore season. Brett Pesce added two helpers from the blue line. Those were his first points in eight games. Petr Mrazek had a strong game in net and turned aside 35 of 37 shots.
