Marlins Place Max Meyer on 15-Day Injured List With Hip Impingement
Max Meyer (hip) on the 15-day injured list on Tuesday with a left-hip impingement and recalled right-hander George Soriano from Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move. It remains to be seen if Meyer will be ready to come off the IL when he's eligible in a few weeks on June 18. The 26-year-old continues to be held back by injuries, but hopefully this one won't keep him out for too long. Meyer allowed 10 earned runs in his first two starts combined to begin the month of May and allowed four earned runs in each of his last two starts, including a disappointing loss to the lowly Colorado Rockies on Monday. Overall in 2025, the former third overall pick in 2020 from Minnesota has gone 3-5 with a 4.73 ERA (4.41 FIP) and 1.42 WHIP with 68 strikeouts and 20 walks in 64 2/3 innings over 12 starts.
