Mark Stone Out Until Next Week
7 years agoOttawa Senators right wing Mark Stone continues to be sidelined by a leg injury suffered in a March 9 game against the Calgary Flames. Head coach Guy Boucher indicated that Stone could play next Tuesday or Thursday at the earliest, which rules him out for Ottawa's two games this weekend. Stone's injury derailed a 10-game point streak, which was snapped the game he was injured. He had collected 15 points in those 10 games and had proven himself a valuable commodity right as the fantasy playoffs were beginning. The good news is that Ottawa's offense has continued to produce without Stone, scoring 12 goals in the two games he has missed. This should mean that when Stone returns, he can immediately resume building on the 62 points he has for the season. Watch for Stone's return and be ready to plug him into your lineup when he does.
