The Winnipeg Jets steamrolled through the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night by a score of 5-1 with help from Mark Scheifele, who scored a hat trick. He also added an assist. Scheifele has six points over his past two games and, overall, has 65 points in 62 games. He’s four goals away from having back-to-back 30-goal seasons. Patrik Laine continues to be a more well-rounded player this year and had two helpers in the game. He has a career-high 33 assists to go with 25 goals. Through 60 games, he needs just five more goals to reach 30 for the fourth time in his four-year NHL career. Neal Pionk had two assists and continues to add to his career-high 41 points. Backup goalie Laurent Brossoit had his third straight strong game. The Senators had a penalty problem in the game. Three players — Brady Tkachuk, Jean-Gabriel Pageau, and Scott Sabourin — combined for 36 penalty minutes. The Jets were three-for-six on the power play. --Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
