Veteran Vegas goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury turned aside 19 shots as the Golden Knights blanked the New York Islanders by a score of 1-0 on Saturday night. Reilly Smith scored the only goal of the game. It was the first time he’d found the back of the net in six games. It was his 22 goal of the season and he’s now three away from matching his career-high. Jonathan Marchessault’s participation was a game-time decision but he added an assist and fired seven shots on net. He has 10 points over the past 10 games. Defenseman Nate Schmidt also added an assist and now has six points in the past five games. For the Islanders, Semyon Varlamov was excellent in net and he turned aside 42 of 43 shots.
