2 years agoNew England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones took around 90 percent of the first-team repetitions in practice on Wednesday and will start in Week 8 against the New York Jets, according to a source. Jones returned from a three-week absence due to a severe high-ankle sprain and didn't look good in the Monday night loss to the Chicago Bears before being benched after three series in favor of rookie Bailey Zappe. The 24-year-old Jones hasn't looked nearly as good in 2022 as he did in his rookie season, but the Patriots aren't giving up on the first-rounder just yet. Jones could improve as he puts his ankle injury in the rearview mirror, but a matchup against a stingy Jets defense isn't very attractive from a fantasy standpoint.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
