Luke Weaver Could Come Off Injured List on Friday
Luke Weaver (hamstring) could be activated from the 15-day injured list before Friday's series opener in the Bronx against the division-rival Baltimore Orioles, according to manager Aaron Boone. Weaver has recovered very quickly from a left-hamstring strain that he suffered less than three weeks ago and will skip a minor-league rehab assignment after looking and feeling great during a live batting practice session on Tuesday. Although the 31-year-old veteran was serving as New York's closer at the time of his injury, it's entirely possible that he'll return to a late-inning setup role ahead of right-hander Devin Williams, who has looked much better since Weaver went down with his hamstring injury. Still, Weaver has been lights-out in 2025 and should remain valuable in most fantasy formats.
