Luke Musgrave Could Return In Week 18
11 months agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said there's a possibility that rookie tight end Luke Musgrave (kidney) comes off Injured Reserve to play in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Chicago Bears. "I'd say it's realistic, yes," LaFleur said. Musgrave put in another limited practice on Thursday, but he might need to upgrade to a full practice to convince the Packers to activate him from IR on Saturday in order to play on Sunday in a must-win game. A lacerated kidney has kept the 23-year-old out since Week 11, so even if he returns, he could be eased back onto the field. On top of it, fellow rookie tight end Tucker Kraft has been holding down the fort nicely at the position with 23 catches for 281 yards and two touchdowns in six games with Musgrave sidelined. Musgrave's return would muddy Green Bay's TE situation for fantasy managers.
