Luis Severino Hoping To Be Cleared Monday
6 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino (shoulder) is hoping to get cleared to begin playing catch on Monday after he visits with a doctor. He expects to throw on flat ground from just 60 feet on Monday or Tuesday. Severino hasn't felt pain in his shoulder/lat in about three weeks. It's a great sign for the right-hander, but he has a ways to go before he can make his season debut for the Yanks, and that is unlikely to happen until after the All-Star break. Severino proved last year that he can be a fantasy ace, so he must be retained in all fantasy leagues until he's healthy. Hopefully he can make some noise in the second half.
