La'Mical Perine Activated From Injured Reserve
4 years agoThe New York Jets activated rookie running back La'Mical Perine (ankle) from Injured Reserve on Saturday. The rookie returned to practice a week ago and will join Ty Johnson and Josh Adams as backups to veteran Frank Gore for the final two games of the regular season. With the Jets sticking with Gore as their backfield leader the rest of the way, Perine won't have many opportunities in the final two games against the Browns and Patriots. The 22-year-old hasn't played since Week 11 and has only 55 carries for 202 yards (3.7 yards per carry) and two touchdowns in the first nine games of his career. Perine added 10 catches for 49 yards before his injury. He's strictly a dynasty league stash for the rest of 2020 and can remain on the waiver wire in redraft leagues.
