Kyle Juszczyk Outsnaps Trey Sermon Sunday Night
3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk outsnapped rookie running back Trey Sermon in the Sunday night loss to the Green Bay Packers 48 to 41 out of 70 offensive snaps. Juszczyk carried the ball five times for 14 yards and caught four passes for 37 yards and a touchdown, while Sermon had 10 carries for 31 yards and his first NFL touchdown and two catches for three yards. It came with Elijah Mitchell (shoulder) and JaMycal Hasty (ankle) inactive. Although Sermon found the end zone and looked better in the second half, it's clear that the Niners don't trust the rookie to take on a full load just yet in this banged-up backfield. Juszczyk could see added looks on offense moving forward, but probably only if Mitchell misses another game.
