Kyle Busch never truly factored in at the end of the race because he fell a bit too far back. The No. 18 car led 28 laps earlier in the race. The younger Busch in the final 12 laps did draw closer and closer. However, he still finished behind a slew of Fords. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver was hoping to get up to Bubba Wallace (fellow Toyota). It is tough to win the Daytona 500 as Busch has come so close several times (most notably in 2019). The last three appearances saw him DNF. Busch avoided most of the wrecks this time around as he finished just out of the top five. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
