Kurt Busch joined 23XI Racing for the 2022 season with Bubba Wallace. He qualified 17th for the Daytona 500 and will start right behind his teammate. The No. 45 car will feature a driver who no doubt is re-energized after a turbulent 2021 season. The elder Busch had a series of near misses with Team Penske and a 2017 win of "The Great Race" for Stewart-Haas Racing. That race was simply a matter of survival as Busch led the only lap that mattered -- the final one.
