Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang was back from a one-game absence on Wednesday and logged a power-play assist in a 6-3 loss to Buffalo. He teamed up with Evgeni Malkin just seconds into the third period to help Jake Guentzel score with the man advantage. Letang had sat out Tuesday's 6-5 loss to Boston with an illness. He skated for 23:24, which is exactly his season average, so it looks like the veteran defenseman has fully shaken off the bug. Unfortunately, Letang didn't have a great night in even-strength situations, finishing minus-three. His line also included one shot, three blocks and two hits. With his season averages for both hits and blocks standing at 1.80 per game, Letang has done well on the defensive end, but his production in attack has been lacking. He was five games without a point prior to Wednesday's action and sits on only five points in 10 games for the season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
