Kris Bubic Goes Seven Scoreless Against San Francisco
Kris Bubic tossed seven scoreless innings in Monday's 3-1 win over the San Francisco Giants. He allowed two hits, issued three free passes, and struck out five, improving to 5-2. The Stanford product was dealing in this one, cruising through 5 2/3 scoreless -- and hitless -- before second baseman Michael Massey let a Wilmer Flores grounder slip through the infield. For what it's worth, it initially appeared to be an error, but it was not ruled as such. Still, it was another excellent outing for Bubic, who has yielded one earned run or fewer in four straight starts and five of his last six. He'll boast a minuscule 1.47 ERA and 1.06 WHIP (61 1/3 innings) into his next outing, which projects to come this weekend on the road against the Minnesota Twins.
