Kris Bryant Returning To Starting Lineup Monday
1 year agoColorado Rockies infielder/outfielder Kris Bryant is back in the starting lineup Monday evening against the San Diego Padres and right-hander Michael Wacha. Bryant didn't start Sunday's series finale against the Giants but did reach base on an error in the ninth inning as part of his club's narrow 11-10 loss and will return to man first base out of the three-hole on Monday in San Diego. The former NL Rookie of the Year and MVP has had a down season while continuing to deal with injuries as he's hitting .254 with 10 home runs and a .734 OPS across 72 appearances, although he's hitting .280 with two HR and an .893 OPS across 27 plate appearances in the month of September. His fantasy stock has taken a turn for the worse, largely due to injuries, over the last handful of seasons.
