KJ Hamler Won't Return This Year
2 years agoDenver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler (hamstring) will not return to play this year after suffering a setback with his hamstring injury when he slipped while running on indoor turf. Hamler was placed on Injured Reserve last week, so he would've been eligible to return for the regular season finale in Week 18. Before he had aggravated his hamstring injury, the 23-year-old speedster had missed the previous three games. The former second-rounder in 2020 hasn't panned out for Denver, and injuries have mostly been to blame. Hamler played in just three games in 2021 due to a torn ACL and will finish the 2022 campaign with only seven catches on 14 targets for 165 yards and no touchdowns. He hasn't scored a touchdown since finding the end zone three times in his rookie year.
