Kimani Vidal 2024 Outlook: Late-Round Rookie Offers Immediate Potential Production
6 months agoIt isn't often that a sixth-round rookie is a priority target in fantasy drafts, but that is the case with Los Angeles Chargers' running back Kimani Vidal. The Troy product joins a run-first offense with a very winnable RB1 job, as Los Angeles lost Austin Ekeler in free agency and brought in Gus Edwards and the oft-injured J.K. Dobbins. Vidal rushed for 1,661 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior while adding 18 catches for 201 yards and a score. He was a workhorse in college and has the ability to do so at the next level. Wearing jersey number thirty for the Chargers as an under-the-radar addition, the Ekeler comparisons will start from Day 1. As a player, Isaiah Pacheco is a notable comparison. Vidal offers similar size and speed along with late-round draft capital and the ability to command a backfield. His late-round price is worth it every time, as this backfield will have touches available immediately.
