Justin Verlander Lowers WHIP To 0.73
6 years agoHouston Astros starter Justin Verlander is enjoying another eye-popping season after dominating the White Sox on Tuesday. Verlander (8-1) struck out 12 hitters and allowed only one hit, a solo home run, in the Astros 5-1 win. The right-hander is one of the surest bets in DFS right now, posting a 2.24 ERA, a 0.73 WHIP and holding opponents to a .143 batting average through 11 starts. Verlander's current K/9 rate of 11.07 would be the second highest of his career and has allowed only four hits over his last 22 innings pitched. The future Hall of Famer will be a must-start when he takes the mound next.
