Justin Rose failed to defend his WGC-HSBC Champions title, but the Englishman looked sharp at Sheshan International Golf Club. Rose finished at 10-under par for the tournament, good for an impressive third place finish in the elite field. It was Rose's first start of the new PGA Tour season and it appears the 2018 FedEx Cup winner will remain a force to be reckoned with in 2019. Rose opened the HSBC with excellent rounds of 69 and 67, but failed to break 70 in tough scoring conditions over the weekend. He finished four shots behind eventual winner Xander Schaufelle and Tony Finau. Rose will attempt to defend another title in this week's Turkish Airlines Open on the European Tour. --Joe Nicely - RotoBaller
