Justin Herbert Entering 2025 With A Shiny New Weapon On Offense
Justin Herbert might finally be more comfortable in his offense in 2025. After a season of only having WR Ladd McConkey as the team's sole viable pass-catcher, the Chargers drafted wideout Tre Harris in Round 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft. Herbert can finally stop forcing the ball to WR Quentin Johnston, who struggles with separation skills and plays like he's much smaller than he actually is. Harris showcased elite efficiency at Ole Miss in 2024, and should slot in as the clear WR2 behind McConkey. Herbert retains the same run-heavy offensive coordinator, Greg Roman, but in games where they're forced to pass the ball more, he'll have extra help to do it. Without a lot of rushing upside, though, it's hard to imagine Herbert will have a much more productive season in 2025 than he did in 2024. His projection getting a slight boost from the Harris pick makes sense, but it's minor. High-end QB2 production appears to be on the horizon for Herbie.
