Justin Haley Looks To Keep Surprises Coming At Daytona 500
10 months agoJustin Haley and the word surprise are kind of synonymous. It all started back in 2019, when he surprised the NASCAR world by getting the win at Daytona International Speedway while driving for Spire Motorsports, an underfunded team at the time. Rain played into that, but the fact of the matter is that it still happened. Haley went on to surprise more people last year by announcing that he'd be driving full time for Rick Ware Racing in 2024, another underfunded team. This was a head-scratcher for many NASCAR fans, and we will have to wait and see how competitive the team can be. During the Daytona 500 media day, Haley stated, "I think the expectation is to just show up and be competitive and go from there. I think the Clash is a super small sample size, but I think we surprised ourselves. I think as long as we keep surprising ourselves and showing what we can do, then we will be ahead." He will start from 22nd place when the Daytona 500 goes green, making Haley a very sneaky DFS play, as he will likely be low-owned but, he still has room to move up and get place-differential fantasy points.
