Julio Urias Goes Seven Strong Innings Against Marlins
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias had one of his best outings of the season in a 6-1 win over the Miami Marlins on Thursday afternoon, giving up only one run (a Jazz Chisholm solo shot) over seven innings while striking out nine. The left-hander helped the team snap a three-game losing streak, and the 24-year-old tossed a season-high 101 pitches to help save the Dodgers pitching staff ahead of a Friday bullpen game. Urias is now 11-3 with a 3.64 ERA on the season, and he's been solid for his fantasy managers for the vast majority of the 2021 season. The Dodgers will need him to continue his strong season in the second half with Clayton Kershaw (forearm) on the injured list and Trevor Bauer on administrative leave indefinitely for sexual-assault allegations.
