Julio Rodriguez Out Of The Lineup
1 year agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez is taking a day off on Monday as the team takes on the Chicago White Sox on the road. Rodriguez doesn't take many days off, but he's earned one to begin the week. He is currently riding an eight-game hitting streak in which he's gone 22-for-42 (.524) with two home runs, five doubles, 13 RBI, six stolen bases and seven runs scored. It's an absurd stretch for one of the most talented players in the game, and his recent hot streak has raised his season slash line to .278/.336/.462 with 21 home runs, 79 RBI, 33 stolen bases and 76 runs scored. Last year's American League Rookie of the Year is a must-start anytime he's playing. Rookie Cade Marlowe is starting in center field in his place on Monday and is batting seventh against White Sox right-hander Touki Toussaint.
