Jose Ramirez Homers, Extends On-Base Streak to 28 Games
Jose Ramirez swatted his 11th home run of the season on Sunday to help the team to a 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels. Ramirez added a single to finish 2-for-4 with one RBI. While Ramirez saw a 21-game hitting streak end on Friday, he has now gotten on base in 28 consecutive contests since April 30. Not surprisingly, the six-time All-Star is enjoying another stellar season. He's slashing .327/.384/.555 line with 36 runs scored, 29 RBI, and 14 stolen bases in 237 trips to the plate. Ramirez will try to add to his on-base streak when the Guardians go on the road to face New York Yankees left-hander Carlos Rodon on Tuesday. Ramirez has gone a modest 11-of-45 with no HRs, five RBI, eight walks, and four strikeouts against Rodon.
