5/27:Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve went 4-for-6 with a double and two runs batted in as the Astros lost a wild one to the Indians 10-9 in 14 innings Sunday. The multi-hit performance continues a torrid weekend for the reigning MVP, who has 10 hits over his last 15 at-bats. The scorching stretch has brought his average up to .330 as he is finishing up a sub-standard month strong. When a hitter as prolific as Altuve slumps, it simply lasts a few games. But the fact that there was almost a half month of sub-par production from Altuve was almost was cause for alarm. But he has busted out in a big way the past few games, raising his batting average 25 points and now appears poised to reel off a hot streak of fantasy production.--Joey C - RotoBaller
