Jordan Westburg Suffers Setback
Jordan Westburg (hamstring) suffered a setback in his recovery from a left-hamstring strain, according to manager Brandon Hyde. Westburg has stopped running and is resting his hamstring before beginning running progressions again. "That was unfortunate news," Hyde said. The good news for the O's is that Ramon Urias (hamstring) was activated from the IL on Wednesday and is starting at third base and batting ninth for Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins. It was looking like the 26-year-old could begin a minor-league rehab assignment this weekend, but that obviously won't happen now, and the team doesn't have a specific timetable for his return after his setback. Until Westburg is able to return, Urias should see most of the starts at the hot corner in Baltimore, giving him a short-term boost in AL-only leagues.
