Detroit Red Wings goaltender Jonathan Bernier made the start in Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers, but he was forced out after one period due to an upper-body injury. He stopped nine of the 10 shots he faced before departing. "We think it is more of a neck problem and that he'll be fine," head coach Jeff Blashill said. All-Star Jimmy Howard came off the bench and stopped 11 of the 12 shots he faced in relief, and he's likely to be back in the crease for Wednesday's game against the Chicago Blackhawks.--Daniel Dobish
