Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson was in the middle of everything in Wednesday's 4-3 victory over the Lightning, producing two power-play goals and picking up two assists. This was the third four-point outing of his career, and he's never managed more points in a game. Carlson was also a big force on the defensive end with four blocks and one hit in 25 minutes of action. He's now on 13 goals and 46 assists through 66 games. It's been another big campaign for the two-time All-Star, and Carlson even has a chance to set a new career high for goals scored in a season, if he finds a way to add three more markers to his tally.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
