Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson exited Saturday's win over the Predators with a lower-body injury. He skated for just 3:48 in the game. The two-time All-Star had just heated up before getting injured, collecting six points across the previous five games. Carlson carries a massive workload on his shoulder on the Capitals first defensive pairing with Dmitry Orlov, who ended up eating up over 26 and a half minutes Saturday with his running mate missing. The Russian blue-liner will definitely get a bigger role if Carlson is forced to miss any time. The severity of his injury is currently unknown. We should get an update prior to Monday's matchup against Carolina.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
