Joey Wentz To Be Shut Down For 10 Days
Joey Wentz (forearm) showed no structural damage to his arm, but he'll be shut down for around 10 days. The 22-year-old left-hander was traded from the Braves last season. He was much better for Double-A Erie in five starts to finish the year, posting a 2.10 ERA and 0.94 WHIP with a 13.0 K/9. Ranked as the team's No. 10 prospect to close out 2019, Wentz could be a mid-rotation starter for the Tigers by in a year or two because of his size and feel for pitching. For now, he's just one to watch in dynasty/keeper leagues.
