Joey Gallo Expected To Be Activated And Play Wednesday
2 years agoMinnesota Twins first baseman/outfielder Joey Gallo (intercostal) is with the team in Boston, and manager Rocco Baldelli said he thinks Gallo will be activated from the injured list and play on Wednesday against the Red Sox. The 29-year-old left-handed slugger went on the injured list last week with a minor right intercostal strain, but he's already good to go and should continue to play regularly for the Twins at first base, designated hitter or the outfield. If he was dropped by his previous manager, you should look to pick Gallo up now if you're in need of power. Before landing on the injured list, he had five hits in 18 at-bats with a double, three home runs, seven RBI and four runs scored in his first seven games with the Twins.
