Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Joe Musgrove (shoulder) started his rehab assignment on Tuesday, throwing three innings (36 pitches) for High-A Bradenton. The right-hander also tossed 15 more pitches in the bullpen after his outing ended, reports The Athletic's Rob Biertempfel. Musgrove faced 13 hitters in all, giving up two runs and five hits while striking out two. He's expected to make his next rehab start for Double-A Altoona on Sunday as he continues working his way back from a right shoulder strain. Musgrove could become an option in deep mixed leagues when he makes his season debut in Pittsburgh's rotation.--Matt Wilkes
