Jets Will Be In On Derek Carr
2 years agoThe New York Jets will be interested in soon-to-be free-agent quarterback Derek Carr, who is moving on from the Las Vegas Raiders after nine seasons. The Jets view him as a significant upgrade over Zach Wilson, but there is some concern about Carr's ability to play under pressure as the Jets continue to rebuild their offensive line. But Carr ranked 15th in PFF's grading in 2022 after finishing 30th under pressure the previous season. Turnovers are also a concern, as the 31-year-old signal-caller has thrown the second-most interceptions (28) of any QB the last two years. It's not all bad, though, as Carr has averaged 4,120 yards, 24 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in the last four years while completing 66.8% of his passes. Those numbers would easily be an upgrade from what the Jets have had at the position.
