Jets Believe They Have One-Two Punch At Running Back
5 years agoNew York Jets head coach Adam Gase believes that the team has a great one-two punch at running back heading into the season. The Jets are expected to use a backfield of star Le'Veon Bell and veteran Frank Gore to begin the year. "Those two guys can really do some damage together," says Gase. Last season, the Jets had the league's 31st ranked rushing offense. The hope is that the Jets can produce better numbers with an improved offensive line. Both Bell and Gore are coming off career lows in yards per carry from last season. However, Gore averaged 4.6 per carry two seasons ago under Gase with the Miami Dolphins. Fantasy owners know what Bell is capable of doing when he has a reliable offensive line around him. Hopefully Gase can get a better rushing attack out of the Jets in 2020.
