Jerry Jeudy Could Have More Competition For Targets
2 years agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has seen 17 targets in the last two games, catching 15 of them for 149 yards and three touchdowns. All three of his touchdowns came in Week 14 against the Kansas City Chiefs in the first of two games that teammate Courtland Sutton (hamstring) has missed due to injury. Quarterback Russell Wilson (concussion) will return this Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams on Christmas Day after a one-game absence, but Sutton is also trending toward returning, which will take away valuable targets from Jeudy. If Sutton returns in Week 16, the 23-year-old Jeudy will still be a big part of the passing attack against a Rams defense that has been much more vulnerable through the air in 2022, but he'll also have less upside in a low-scoring offense as more of a WR3/flex than a volume-based WR2.
