Jerick McKinnon Returns To Practice
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jerick McKinnon (knee) returned to practice for the first time in over two weeks. He had initially been sidelined after receiving a platelet-rich plasma injection. McKinnon's return indicates that he should be able to avoid the Physically Unable to Perform list and be active for the 49ers Week 1 contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, he most likely remains behind both Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida for any rushing/receiving work. Currently, McKinnon is only owned in 26 percent of Yahoo fantasy leagues. While he should remain on the waivers in most leagues, be sure to pay attention to how often and in what capacity 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan utilizes McKinnon.
