Los Angeles Kings forward Jeff Carter tallied a goal and an assist, leading the Kings to a 4-1 win over the Calgary Flames. It was Carter's first goal of the season, after a rough start that has seen him score only three points in his first eight games. Ilya Kovalchuk and Anze Kopitar were the other goal scorers for the Kings. Jonathan Quick also had a bounce-back game after a terrible start to the season, stopping 23 of 24 shots.
