Jameson Taillon Flirts With Perfecto In Win
3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Jameson Taillon was superb during his start on Thursday as his club went on to defeat the Angels 2-1. The 30-year-old took a perfect game into the eighth inning before Jared Walsh greeted him with a leadoff double, which he would later come around to score on after a two-out single from Kurt Suzuki. It was the only two hits of the game that he would surrender across eight frames as he struck out five and walked none in the 101-pitch performance. Taillon has posted stellar numbers to date with a 2.30 ERA and 0.90 WHIP to go along with a 6-1 record as he'll look to keep up the good work next week with a road date versus the Twins.
