8/6:Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner has been impressing observers in training camp this season. According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Conner has looked like a different player from his rookie season a year ago. Conner had his rookie season cut short by a knee injury but he is fully recovered and is in a positional battle with rookie Jaylen Samuels to be Le'Veon Bell's primary backup. As DeAngelo Williams proved a few years ago, the backup running back role has been a valuable one in Pittsburgh in case something happens to Bell. Conner remains more interesting in dynasty leagues than he is in redraft.--Matt Terelle - Rotoballer
