Jamal Adams Needs Offseason Surgery
4 years agoSeattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams (shoulders, fingers) played Saturday's wild-card game against the Rams with a torn labrum in his left shoulder that will require offseason surgery. Adams also has a right shoulder injury that could need offseason surgery, and the All-Pro safety also plans to have surgery on the fingers on his left hand. The 25-year-old showed his toughness by gutting it out in the wild-card loss to Los Angeles. The former Jet made his third straight Pro Bowl team in 2020, racking up 83 combined tackles (11 for loss), 14 QB hits, one forced fumble and a career-high 9.5 sacks in 12 games in his first year in Seattle. Adams battled through injuries and missed a few games along the way, but he still finished as the No. 12 fantasy defensive back in IDP leagues. He should be considered as the first defensive back off the board in IDP drafts again next season.
