Jamaal Williams Won't Play Against Lions
5 years agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that running back Jamaal Williams (shoulder) will not play in Week 17 against the Lions. The Packers will give Williams a rest with a playoff spot already locked up. The team will still be playing for a potential first-round bye this week, though, so expect the Packers to ride running back Aaron Jones hard in this excellent matchup against Detroit. Jones had only 11 carries for 47 yards in the first meeting with Detroit, but he'll be a top-five fantasy running back in Week 17 with Williams not in the picture. The last time Williams was inactive, Jones went for over 100 yards and four touchdowns against Dallas back on Oct. 6.
