Jalen Hurts Might Not See Many Snaps
4 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson indicated that there might not be many snaps to go around for rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts in training camp. Fifth-year pro Nate Sudfeld is the team's backup until proven otherwise, and Pederson stressed that the Eagles will make sure to get Carson Wentz and Sudfeld "the reps they need" to prepare for the 2020 season. Hurts, the 53rd overall pick in April, might be less of a priority as the team prepares for the regular season. Unless you also draft the injury-prone Wentz in a deep league, Hurts doesn't make much sense in redraft leagues in his rookie season. But he's a fine dynasty league asset as the potential future face of the franchise under center once Wentz is gone.
